Ted Kackley is a fully insured, certified fitness trainer with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. His certification is through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), one of the leading trainer certification programs in the country. He is also a Level 1 Youth Fitness Specialist, certified by the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA), as well as a TPI Level 1 Certified Golf Fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).
Previously, Ted has worked as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Mike Boyle’s Strength and Conditioning Complex in Canton, Massachusetts and the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
He has trained soccer players at North Shore United (NSU) soccer program and has run summer programs for the Milton High School Athletic teams. He has trained many high school, college, and professional athletes such as Chris Drury of the Buffalo Sabres and Brendan Shanahan of the Detroit Red Wings. He also has experience running a golf fitness program at the William J. Devine Memorial Golf Course at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts.

Ted was published in the The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research (Vol. 21, No. 1, pp. 52-56). While at the Department of Exercise Science and Physical Education at the University of Massachusetts Boston, he co-authored an article with colleagues Avery D. Faigenbaum, Arne G. Thompsen, and Melinda A. Palumbo, entitled “Acute Effects of Different Warm-Up Protocols With and Without a Weighted Vest on Jumping Performance in Athletic Women.”
